Our Mesothelioma Support Group meets in Birmingham on the second Monday every month. The group is for patients and their carers. The next meeting is coming up soon. If you would like to join us please drop us an email. The address is on our Contact page.
This month there will be an opportunity to buy handcrafted Christmas tree decorations and small gifts in aid of mesothelioma charities.

Two of our regular attenders, Patrick and Cheryl, are pictured here. Patrick has written below about his experience of attending the meetings.
Not really being a people person I was very reluctant to go to the Mesothelioma Group session when it was suggested to Cheryl and I at the QE Hospital in Birmingham after my diagnosis. How wrong can one be!
Listening to people who are in the same situation, and how they have been affected by the various treatments, we very quickly realised one size does not fit all. And you both have someone to talk to who is going through what you are.
We can’t thank the Group enough. It changed my mind completely on treatment, and definitely on Groups. Thank You Everybody
Coming up in the New Year
At every meeting the group members share their experiences and offer advice to one another. The January meeting will also focus on coping with fatigue. The February meeting will look at how making a legal claim works out in practice.
