Mesothelioma kills more than 2,400 people each year so it’s time for action! Exposure to asbestos is virtually the only cause of the incurable cancer mesothelioma in the UK. Asbestos needs to be removed from as many schools, hospitals, public buildings and homes as possible. And it needs to be removed as soon as possible.
Members of our Butterfly Group for people who have lost friends and loved ones to an asbestos related disease, are pictured ‘going blue for meso’.
What you can do to help
Neil, our manager is also going blue for meso. If you would like to do the same, you can find full instructions here. All you need is a smart phone or computer, a colour printer and something blue to wear.
Take your picture with your head and shoulders inside the template and post it on Facebook, Twitter or other social media sites. This will raise awareness about mesothelioma. Let’s work together to get to zero asbsestos in the UK!
