We have added a new link to the Links and Resources page on our website. The new link is to a set of resources called Mesothelioma and Me which you can find on the website of one of our legal panel members, Leigh Day.
The resources include films which feature six of Leigh Day’s clients. They have all been diagnosed with mesothelioma. The films set out their thoughts from the onset of symptoms, through to diagnosis and receiving compensation for mesothelioma.
Harminder Bains, (pictured), one of the senior partners at Leigh Day, says, “In my personal experience, when my father was diagnosed, my family and I were desperate for information. Therefore, we have created these films in which Professor Peter Szlosarek and Dr Riyaz Shah answer questions commonly asked by patients and their families.
“Through these films, we aim to ensure the voices of mesothelioma victims are heard. They offer hope, strength and solidarity to others facing similar challenges on their paths to justice.”
It is important to note that some people with mesothelioma will not be able to bring a civil claim for compensation against anyone. However, there are government schemes which do provide some compensation to patients with mesothelioma.
