4 July, Church at Carrs Lane, 11am-1pm
Join us for “AMD” on 4th July 2025 in recognition of those affected by Mesothelioma as well as other asbestos-related diseases. We will be releasing doves in memory of those lost, and will also have speakers including Dr Gareth Walters, NHS Consultant in Occupational Respiratory Medicine and Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham. We will also hear accounts of the personal journey of one of our service users and one of our Butterfly Group members about their experiences of coping with Mesothelioma. Tea, coffee and cakes will be served at the start of the event and Birmingham Clarion singers will join us to sing us out at the end of the event.
At AMD we collect donations for other Mesothelioma charities and this year we will split donations between MesoUK and June Hancock Fund for their research into Mesothelioma. Please use the reference AMD if you wish to donate to these charities, so we know to pass the donations on. See our Donations section on the back page for details on how to do this. Please email info@asbestossupportce.org or call 0121 678 8853 to book your free place for the day. Friends and family are welcome.
