Why were they there?
They were there because our service users contracted the terminal cancer mesothelioma and other serious diseases such as asbestosis, pleural thickening and lung cancer, after exposure to Cape’s products. Altrad now owns Cape. We are asking them to pay £10 million towards the cost of mesothelioma research.
Altrad is still making money from asbestos
This is a fraction of the profits they currently make from removing the same asbestos products from buildings which the deterioration of the asbestos has rendered unsafe. #CapeMustPay
