This year we’re going live again for Action Mesothelioma Day. We’re organising a jam-packed event on the afternoon of Friday 7 July in the centre of Birmingham at The Priory Rooms on Bull Street. There is a tram stop right outside and it’s an easy walk from the New Street, Snow Street and Moor Street stations.
Who’s invited and what’s happening? This is an event for everyone, patients, carers, friends and relatives, who is affected by an asbestos related disease – although the main focus will be on mesothelioma. There will be a time of remembering those we have lost, an update from the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund (to whom all proceeds of the day will be going), as well as a chance to find out about Your Health Companion, the new app for mesothelioma patients, and to meet the members of our legal panel who are sponsoring the event. Of course, we’re also laying on lunch and unlimited teas, coffees, and soft drinks.
How to reserve your place Places are limited so to avoid disappointment we’re asking you to reserve your place by sending us an an email or a letter as soon as possible and making a donation (£5/£10/£20 – it’s up to you to choose how much) to the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund.
You can send your gift for Action Meso Day by clicking on “Donate” at the top of the page, but please write the reference “AMD” on the back of any cheques – which should be made payable to Asbestos Support Central England – or use that reference when making a BACS payment or an online donation to us. We will then know that your gift is intended for the ground-breaking medical research that is sponsored by June Hancock.
We look forward to seeing you on the day!
