Our accounts summarised in three simple charts

The three charts below show

  • that our income in 2023 to 2024 was less than the previous year, even before inflation is taken into account
  • the money we spent helping our beneficiaries went up slightly
  • but, because we were careful, our reserves – the money we keep for a rainy day – also went up.

How many people we helped

In the last 12 months to the end of June 2024 we helped 225 new service users. We also have about 350 existing service users who we keep in touch with and support when we are needed

Supporting the Mesothelioma UK Nurse Specialist in our region

This is what persuaded our trustees to help fund the mesothelioma nurse specialist for our region. They know they have a responsibility to spend any surplus money on helping our service users. But the two right-hand bars in the Reserves Chart show the money which the Charity Commission expect us to keep in reserve. The amount we are expected to keep in this prudent reserve also increased slightly.
