The Asbestos Victims Support Groups’ Forum is hoping that Christmas and the New Year bring justice for victims of Asbestosis & Pleural Thickening. We should like Father Christmas to deliver two things.
- The backlog of claims for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit needs to be processed quickly and efficiently.
- We need an assurance from the Department of Work and Pensions that the delays so far – and in the future – don’t mean claimants will miss out on compensation from the government’s Lump Sum payment scheme.
